Whilst general dentistry is still at the core of our services, we have developed a reputation for the provision of high quality, cosmetic dental treatment. Many of our new patients are referred to us from other dental professionals and specialists as well as existing patients who appreciate the excellent service we have been providing since the dental surgery began operating in 1991.

Your First Visit

At your first visit, you will be required to complete an acquaintance and medical history form. All information provided will remain confidential. A staff member will familiarize you with our dental surgery facilities and help you settle into your new surroundings.

Before any treatment, a thorough examination of your teeth and supporting tissues (gums and jaw joints) will be carried out. Dental
x-rays may be required. X-rays are a valuable diagnostic tool, which enable the dentist to check between your teeth and under old fillings for any signs of decay or disease. Diagnostic models and saliva testing may be undertaken when necessary.

All information gathered at your first visit will be used by the dentist to prepare a personalised plan, outlining the optimum dental treatment for you. This is then presented to you for further discussion and the time is used to cover any questions or concerns that you may have. We then propose a suitable appointment schedule to complete the treatment.

Scheduling of your subsequent visits is considered confirmed at the time it is made. Please consider that appointment times have been specifically set aside for you. Missed appointments are disruptive to both our practice and other patients and we respectfully request that you reschedule only in times of genuine emergency.
Continuing Care
On completion of your dental treatment we will advise an appropriate interval for your next Oral Health Review. Patients are encouraged to make their appointment for continuing care in advance.
