Lifestyle Family Dental Care began in 2005 at Wilsonton on retirement of the previous dentist Dr garyStewart and relocated to our current location in 2008. Our desire is to have a comfortable homely atmosphere in which to provide the optimal care and advice that you deserve.

Our Services

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants replace missing teeth and are designed to look like and function in a similar way to natural teeth without compromising any of the remaining teeth.

Implants are screw shaped titanium replacements for the extracted tooth root, placed in the jawbone in positions similar to those teeth that have been lost. The bone of the jaw forms a bond with the implant, so that the implant is firmly anchored to the bone. Implants have a high success rate and can be used to replace a single tooth, a few teeth or as an alternative to a full set of dentures.

If you are a suitable candidate then Implant treatment follows a few stages over a number of months. In more complicated cases, the process can take up to 12 months to integrate a successful treatment plan.

ORTHODONTICS

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dental and facial irregularities.

The practice of orthodontics requires professional skills in the design, application and control of corrective appliances (such as braces), to bring teeth, lips and jaws into proper alignment and to achieve facial balance. We do not have an orthodontist on staff but do have close links with orthodontists in Toowoomba.

TEETH WHITENING

Lifestyle Family Dental Care offers take home teeth whitening. This at-home procedure requires you to wear a custom-made mouthguard filled with a bleaching gel for 30 minutes to an hour or so daily. The process is normally completed after two weeks and the effect is a cumulative one. A fortnight course each 4 to 6 months, as you feel necessary, is then continued.

AMALGAM REPLACEMENT

We are often asked to remove old silver/mercury amalgams. When appropriate, these are removed and replaced using aesthetic composite resin or, in the case of a large restoration, possibly a crown.
