Dental Check up
As a new patient to the AIDER clinic we will conduct a full Dental Examination. This will help our dental practitioners with the diagnoses of any treatment requirements. At times after the examination, decay or also known as caries is detected in some patients. We take diagnostic dental x-rays to confirm what the naked eye at times cannot see prior to any treatment commencing.
The AIDER clinic will provide all aspects of general dentistry.
What to expect?
Even after a detailed assessment, a dentist cannot anticipate or guarantee an outcome. Side effects of teeth whitening may include sensitivity to temperature or air, tooth discomfort, or irritated gums. They usually subside soon after.
Toothpastes made for ‘sensitive teeth’ are less abrasive and may provide relief. Oral health problems such as gum disease or tooth decay must be treated before a whitening treatment can be recommended.
A dental professional carries out your treatment safely by following the manufacturer’s instructions. If you are doing a ‘take-home’ whitening treatment, be sure to follow the directions and demonstration from dental staff.
Regular dental examinations, hygiene visits and excellent home care will help to ensure the continued prevention of surface staining and other dental problems. Maintaining healthy teeth and gums are an essential part of a great smile.
Oral Hygiene
Oral Hygiene is very important. A regular check-up and professional clean is essential to ensure a long-term success of an implant therapy.
Digital Volume Computer Tomography
The digital volume provides CT-scans with outstanding resolution by using less radiation compared to conventional CT-machines. Our patients do not to be referred to a radiology practice or to a hospital to obtain a CT-scan. This is convenient and is time and cost-saving for you.
What is an implant?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root consisting of a titanium screw that resembles a tooth root. Missing teeth can be replaced with this high-tech technique and will look and function like real teeth. Dental implants can replace one or several missing teeth and offer a sound alternative to dentures and bridges.
With each bite the dental implant stimulates the surrounding bone and preserves the integrity of the bone, preventing gum shrinkage. After a tooth is lost, the bone no stimulation and begins to shrink away.
Unlike bridges, there is no reshaping or cutting of neighbouring healthy teeth when an implant is placed.
